Thanks, now my heads itching...again!!! We actually just dealt with lice for the first time ever here (I never had it as a kid, and neither did my siblings)! I was at a loss, but was so grateful to my neighbors who gave me all their tips and supplies. I was mortified though when I realized my daughter who the school nurse found it on, must have had it for some time because there were soooooo many!! We all got it but the 2 boys, thank goodness - and then my nieces and nephews got it, so I spent 2 weeks combing all my kids hairs, and the in laws. Talk about exhausting!
#1 tip is to get the robicomb. electric buzz kills those buggers. Oh and haircuts. Us girls all got matching bob cuts *after I did the initial cut and then waited a couple days before hitting up the salon to fix them*. OK, I may have gone slightly overboard, sort of like the cleaning out the rooms ;)

In reply to <a href="https://www.clementinecounty.com/what-to-do-when-your-child-has-lice/#comment-136">Liz</a>.

I definitely think those would help. Having your hair pulled back gives less opportunity for it to be passed. As far as tea tree oil or the shampoo at Trader's, I'm not sure. But heck, it's worth a shot!

Wow! I'm sorry to hear this but well written for us to all learn. I keep my fingers cross that my girls don't get it I've even Hearn putting a drop of Tea Tree oil helps? It also crossed my mine to buy the shampoo at Trader Joe's. But I'm over thinking it so I make sure the girls hairs are in ponytails or bun, "they say" it's another way to prevent lice. And one thing I learned from my mom in grade school never to share any combs/brushes.
