All Your Halloween Favorites at Knott’s Spooky Farm

Tell me all of the things you adore about Halloween.  The costumes, the candy, the pumpkins?  Knott’s Spooky Farm has them all!  Get a peek at all the festive fun at Knott’s Berry Farm this season!

I received complimentary admission to facilitate this review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Each new season of fun at Knott’s offers new opportunities to explore the farm and make family memories.  As a mama of three young children, I love finding places where we can make traditions.  Finding the blend of new experiences and ones we look forward to year after year is hard to come by, but Knott’s is a go to for our family.

Celebrate Halloween at Knott's Berry Farm's Spooky Farm. The daytime family friendly event in Buena Park is a great kid-friendly Halloween activity. #SpookyFarm #berrybloggers

Knott’s Spooky Farm offers all the best parts of Halloween included with your general admission. It’s perfect for families with kids 3-11, but there’s fun for the entire family.

Knott’s Spooky Farm

Decor

It’s still 80 degrees in Southern California, so to make it feel like fall we are reliant on fun decorations.  Pumpkins have taken over the entire farm.  Check out the pumpkin stacks in Camp Snoopy, and the large fountain display.

Known for its Scary Farm Halloween events, Knott’s has hints of what awaits in the fog during its daytime celebration.  There are cobwebs covering Calico and the Forsaken Lake area underneath Silver Bullet features New Orleans-inspired mausoleum.  It’s all quite charming, and not one bit scary during the safety of daytime.

New this year are photo opportunities with spooky wings.

Trick or Treating

Complimentary trick-or-treating is offered to children aged 3-11 during the Spooky Farm fun. Bags are distributed at the front gates.  There are distribution stations throughout Calico, and also at the Forsaken Lake location.

Seasonal Menus

In addition to candy for the little ones, there are all-new menu items.  As a Berry Blogger, I got a sneak peek at the menu items for Spooky/Scary Farm.

Since dessert is pretty much my favorite meal of the day, I was thrilled to try all of the sweets.  The Ghost Pumpkin Bundt Cake is insanely delicious.   Don’t forget to take advantage of the all-day dining plan, if you are an annual passholder!

Creepy Critters of Calico

The Livery Stable is infected by the creepiest crawlers and critters.  I’m not normally a rodent fan, but the rats in their very own recreation of Ghost Town is pretty cute!  My kids loved the tombstone in the tortoise enclosure also.

Seasonal Shows & Entertainment

A favorite of ours is “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown” in the Camp Snoopy Theatre.  The sing-along radio show is a family-friendly show with the PEANUTS Gang in their own Halloween costumes.  Make sure to be back in the afternoon when the theatre hosts a costume contest.

We love it so much my girls decided they needed Halloween poodle skirts, just like the lead of the show.  You can check out how to make your own on the Knott’s Berry Farm Blog.

The Spooky Story Time at the Birdcage Theatre is where kids will sit back, relax and become entranced by the semi haunting tales told by charismatic storytellers throughout the Halloween storylines. There might even catch a glimpse of the elusive haunted calliope player.

Attractions

Bringing a little holiday fun to some favorite attractions, Knott’s offers two Halloween ride take-overs.  Get ready to get splashed and a little spooked on the Timber Mountain Log Ride: Halloween Hootenanny with new sequences and decor.  The ride will include an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies.  Plus, the gigantic skull atop the mountain makes for some fun holiday screams.  If you’re looking to stay closer to the ground, climb aboard the Grand Sierra Railroad for “A Trip To Camp Spooky” which features 3D elements.

Pumpkin Patch

Another super adorable area of the park in the Great Pumpkin Patch.  There’s complimentary coloring for the little ones and other inexpensive activities like cookie decorating.

The giant pumpkins make for a great backdrop for holiday photos too!

Knott’s Spooky Farm is an adorable way to get the whole family in the spirit of the Season of Fun!  If you’re looking to experience all of the Seasons of Fun at Knott’s, the best way to do that is with an annual pass.
