Join in the fun of the inaugural Tournament of Roses® Parade SIP & SAVOR Pasadena event.
I have received complimentary admission to the event to facilitate a review.
All thoughts and opinions are my own.
One of my favorite things about living in Southern California is access to world-class entertainment and dining. SIP & SAVOR Pasadena combines these elements with the pageantry and beauty of the Tournament of Roses® Parade. The inaugural celebration kicks off December 28th-30th, 2018 in Pasadena’s Arroyo Seco.
Watching the Rose Parade is a New Year’s Day tradition around our house. But despite living within driving distance of the event for the majority of my life, I have never seen it in person. I’m thrilled to be able to visit the floats up close. In addition to float viewing, the food and drink celebration makes it sound like SIP & SAVOR is going to be a brand new tradition for us.
Matt and I were invited to attend during Friday’s festivities. Although it’s kid-friendly, we’ve opted to make it a date night and leave them with Grandma. Got to sneak in the last date night of 2018 while we can! We’ve been watching the releases of information coming out about the brand-new event, and it just keeps getting more exciting.
SIP & SAVOR Pasadena
EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY at the new Pasadena Tournament of Roses® SIP & SAVOR, where the taste-tempting SoCal food scene, along with fine wines and craft brews from throughout California, are on the menu just for you, along with exciting entertainment, over three days in Pasadena’s popular Arroyo Seco.
Food and Drinks
The SoCal food fest brings together the flavors of the region with a variety of food vendors ranging from barbecue to a gourmet chop shop. Don’t forget to pack your sweet tooth with desserts like gourmet cotton candy on site. Wet your whistle with craft brews and fine wine samplings available as well.
I’m already planning the menu (got to sample it ALL before those pesky New Year’s resolutions go into effect). There are some favorites I adore, plus new offerings I can’t wait to try. Check out who’s coming to the event here.
Entertainment
Two-step your way out of 2018 with a diverse line-up of live entertainment. From swing to ska, and back again with a Beatles cover band, there will be something for everyone. You can check out the full line-up of entertainment here. I adore seeing the Grammy® Award winning Mariachi Divas at the Disneyland Resort, so this will be a special treat.
The event is family-friendly, with children over 5 requiring a ticket.
Float Viewing
Before the floats hit the parade route, visitors to SIP & SAVOR Pasadena will be able to view the floats up close and personal. Watching the Tournament of Roses® parade each New Year’s Day, I have always marveled at the beauty of the floats decked with a bounty of blooms. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to view the floats up close!
Tickets for the family-friendly event start at just $15. Tasting tickets are available for $3 each (with samples ranging from 1-3 tickets required). Considering the bounty of the celebration, a ticket package might be the best route. Check out the online ticket packages.

I remember this event from the “Bee Movie”. 😀 I guess a time to visit and enjoy Pasadena is in order… will be fun!
I can honestly say I’ve never been to an alcohol base event like such. But I’ve always wanted to if that means anything.
This sounds like a perfect girls night or date night! I would love to go out and try this sometime, thanks for sharing!
