Food & Drink

The LAG Bar

211 W. Center Street Promenade, Anaheim

Power up and drink up at Libations and Gaming, or the LAG Bar, in Downtown Anaheim.  Handcrafted cocktails and beers on tap are served beside yummy flatbread pizzas.  You’ll need the fuel for a night of challenging your friends at Super Smash Bros.  But tell your friends the games are on you…because they’re free.

Free gaming and great drinks make the eSports bar a must visit in Anaheim.

If you’re a movie buff, head over on Wednesdays for a video game-themed movie screening with free popcorn and $5 beers and appetizers.

Unsung Brewery

500 Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim

If bartenders wore capes, they’d work at Unsung.  Housed in the MAKE Building in Anaheim, Unsung Brewery Co. defends the citizens against the boredom of sobriety one pint at a time.  Beers like the Buzzman or Anthia feature comic book theming with supranormal flavors.

While sipping on your IPA, enjoy a board game with friends or peruse a comic book.  Enjoy the outdoor family-friendly garden area with modern decor.

Shopping

Pop Comics

203 W. Center Street Promenade, Anaheim

The storefront is small; the stories held within are epic.  Pop Comics and Culture Emporium offers a variety of comic books and comic-themed collectibles.  Grab your Funko Pop figures, blind bags, or one-of-a-kind art pieces while also picking up your pull list.

The location also hosts regular art shows.  Head over during Anaheim’s Art Crawl Experience  the second Saturday of February, May, August, and November for a community event featuring food, live entertainment and art exhibits, and art display at Pop!

Bricks & Minifigs

1105 S. Euclid Suite B, Fullerton

Shop for all things LEGO at  Bricks & Minifigs.  The mailing address is Fullerton, but the location is designed as Anaheim so we’re giving them a pass.

The store features new and used sets in a hands-on environment that is perfect for kids and grown-ups alike.  You’ll also be able to nab rare and hard-to-find mini figs.  Prices are comparable to what you’d find in larger retail stores, but with the added benefit of finding things that you won’t see elsewhere.

Entertainment

Disneyland

1313 Disneyland Dr., Anaheim

Home to a pretty famous mouse, the Disneyland Resort combines the magic of childhood with everything our geeky hearts desire. There’s plenty for film buffs to screen, and Marvel fans will delight in the offerings from Marvel.  An upcoming Marvel Land is in the works, but in the meantime drop in on Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

And it goes without saying that 2019’s largest park expansion in Star Wars Land is going to be insane.  With new rides and a fully immersive environment, it’s the closest the the Star Wars universe we’ll be able to get without having traveling to Jakku.

Foodies will delight in the themed offerings.  The new Tropical Hideaway has got your tiki treats, as does Trader Sam’s a delightful tiki bar located at the Disneyland Hotel.  Each new season brings new baked goods like churro flavors, cupcakes, and sundaes.

If you’re looking for the ultimate Disney fan event, check out D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The VOID

1313 Disneyland Dr., Anaheim

The Downtown Disney Districts offers you the chance to step into hyper-reality.  The 3D virtual reality world with imagery and sound by ILMxLAB and The VOID, allows you to travel amongst two worlds.

Star Wars™: Secrets of the Empire – In teams of 4, help the Rebellion by recovering Imperial intelligence.  There you’ll engage with your favorite film characters and your friends in a brand new story line.

Ralph Breaks VR – An all new experience features Ralph and Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph.  It’s the ultimate virtual food fight set in Pancake Milkshake Diner.

Go VR Gaming

400 Disney Way, Suite 153, Anaheim

It’s gamer’s choice at Go VR Gaming.   Bring your friends to enjoy the 10 x 15 areas equipped with  TV and couch.  There are plenty of opportunities to go digital from sports to horror.   There are franchise games from pop culture and tons of opportunities to immerse yourself in something brand new.

Playing solo? You can get started with 1 player for $15.  Share the space and your game time with friends.  There’s even the option to rent the entire store for parties.

Mission Escape Rooms

400 Disney Way, Suite 313

Can you break out in 60 minutes?  Challenge yourself to solve the puzzles, find the clues, and break out of Mission Escape Rooms before time runs out.  There are two themed rooms currently.

Escape the Hydeout – Hurry and find Dr. Jekyll before Mr. Hyde returns in this mysterious room for 6.

Escape the Darkest Hour: Torture Chamber – You’ve been kidnapped by a psycho and must escape before your time is up!

WonderCon

800 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim

The Anaheim Convention Center is home to WonderCon, the sister show to San Diego’s Comic-Con.  Featuring appearances, panels, exhibits, and fun, WonderCon is a great way to get all the geek news firsthand.  There you’ll find experiences for all interests: comics, movies, TV, and masquerade.
