When Is Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration 2026?

This annual fan-favorite event transforms Knott’s Berry Farm into a PEANUTS-inspired celebration filled with themed entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and specialty treats throughout the park. It’s one of my family’s favorites Seasons of Fun at Knott’s.

The Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration takes place:

• Weekends from January 31 through February 22, 2026, plus Presidents’ Day

We love how PEANUTS fun takes over the whole park with unique moments to step into the comics and spend more time with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the PEANUTS gang.

NEW for 2026: Knott’s Express Traveling Musical Show

The biggest addition to this year’s celebration is Knott’s Express, a brand-new traveling trolley show that delivers a high-energy musical adventure across the park.

This on-the-move production features:

• Toe-tapping dance numbers
• Classic songs from the Golden Age
• Appearances by Charlie Brown and members of the PEANUTS gang

Where to See Knott’s Express

It’s a charming, immersive experience that moves through the park and invites guests to follow along. During each performance, the trolley will make multiple stops:

1. Charleston Circle – This portion of the show around the fountain includes a number from Hello Dolly
2. Boardwalk Area – Catch one of two rotating numbers near Xcelerator including “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile”

Look for taped off areas for sitting or standing to enjoy the show. The on-the-move show does not have reserved seating.

Summer brings the return of the award-winning immersive western adventure Ghost Town Alive! with a new storyline set in the town of Calico unraveling for guests. I can’t speak highly enough of this immersive experience. Put on your cowboy boots and help the citizens of Calico on tasks, hunts, who-dun-its, and fun!

Ghost Town Alive! is perfect for elementary-aged kids, but you’ll see just as many adults hanging out around Town Hall.

Knott’s Summer Nights

The summer adventure continues long after the sun goes down, with a nighttime summer party that will liven up the evening. Knott’s Summer Nights offers exciting ways to enjoy the festivities occurring throughout the park with live music and DJs.

Knott’s Soak City

2026 Soak City Dates: Select dates May 16 through September 7

Summertime at Knott’s wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Knott’s Soak City Waterpark. Guests can catch a ride down 23 different speed, tube, and body slides or take a relaxing trip down one of the longest lazy rivers in the country. The 15-acre water park has something for each member of the family, an interactive kid’s area, and for those more adventurous, The Wedge, a rip-roaring family raft ride.

Knott’s Spooky Farm

2026 Spooky Farm Dates: Thursdays through Sundays September 24 to October 31

For fall, the spooktacular family-friendly daytime Halloween event, Knott’s Spooky Farm, will invite families with little ghouls to celebrate the spooky season. Knott’s Spooky Farm will offer little ones delightfully wicked Halloween-themed activities, live entertainment and much more.

This family-friendly event is included in admission. Tickets for the night-time, separate ticket Scary Farm are a must for teens and adults.

Knott’s Merry Farm

2026 Merry Farm Dates: November 20 through January 3, 2027

Do you need a chaperone for Knott’s Scary Farm?

As a family destination, Knott’s Berry Farm closely guards the experience of all guests.  In Summer 2022, a Chaperone Policy was instituted.  In short, minors aged 15 years and younger require adult supervision (21+) after 4 PM.

Bringing along a chaperone to Knott’s Scary Farm has a ton of bonuses, but I’m sharing my “Top 5 Reasons It’s Cool to Bring a Chaperone to Scary Farm”. 

1. You’ve Got Your Own Personal Photographer

Forget Instagram Husband.  Instagram Dads are the next big thing.  When you bring a chaperone to Scary Farm, you’ve got access to your own personal photographer to snap group photos with all of your friends.  

2. They Can Hold Your Stuff

Sweaters and cell phones can weigh you down, especially when you’re racing from monsters.  Bring a chaperone to hold your stuff when your racing heart heats you up or you seek new thrills on your favorite coasters.  

TIP: Even with a chaperone to hold your belongings, make sure to pack light for Scary Farm.  Read the Bag Policy for size requirements. 

3. You Can Hide Behind Them

Feeling a little nervous? Sacrifice your chaperone to the clowns of CarnEVIL or the ghouls of Ghost Town by having the adult go first.  Hide behind your chaperone in mazes, too.  Just hold  on tight before you never know when the animals of The Zoo will emerge from the darkness.

Scary Farm brings the largest and most haunting Halloween fun to Buena Park, California. The Knott’s Berry Farm park has been scaring guests for decades with chilling mazes, unescapable scare zones, themed entertainment and dining, and more.

I’ve been gearing up for the infamous fog for weeks. I was able to attend the 2025 Scary Farm Announcement event “Scary Farm: Nightmares Revealed” where we got to check out the new offerings.

I’m so thrilled to break down everything you need to know about the haunting horrors that await you.

Scary Farm Mazes & Scare Zones

Each year brings excitement as we await the announcement of the mazes coming to the Scary Farm line-up. Even returning mazes are given fresh elements to keep us screaming for more, year after year.

Mazes Returning to Scary Farm 2025

• Room 13 – Violent murders at The Blind Tiger interrupt the Prohibition-era revelry on Memory Lane. A dangerously delicious new cocktail named The Devil’s Elixir seems to be at the root of the mayhem, but where did the mysterious green aperitif come from? The answers may lie at the heart of the extravagant Argive Hotel, where many have checked in to Room 13… but none have checked out.
• Cinema Slasher – Venturing through the mystical Midnight Theater, guests travel through the silver screen and into a trilogy of slasher movies. As they are swallowed into the world of gothic horror, they become the movie characters who try to escape the wrath of the dangerous Slasher. The theater opens its doors once again, daring those brave enough to buy a ticket to Cinema Slasher!
• The Chilling Chambers – In honor of the first maze in Knott’s Scary Farm’s prestigious history, the 10 Chilling Chambers gives a nostalgic nod to Scary Farm’s past while terrorizing the audience of today. Guests are thrust beyond the threshold of an ominous towering cathedral that leads to terrifying classic maze themes from Knott’s Scary Farm’s infamous history.
• The Grimoire (Final Year) – Turn the page and enter the world of an ancient relic whose dark stories exist purely to turn your greatest nightmares into reality. Enter the world of a mysterious spell book and escape the demonic creatures inside or be eternally trapped within!
• Mesmer: Sideshow of the Mind (Final Year) – Within the canvas tent lies the secret of the most potent force in the universe: the human mind. A hypnotic session with Professor Mesmer can cure all phobias, including snakes, spiders, darkness, claustrophobia and much more!
• Origins: The Curse of Calico – Pierce the veil of time and discover the secret of the evil fog that hangs over Knott’s Scary Farm in Origins: The Curse of Calico. Unearth the sinister paranormal activity that plagues the town as Sarah Marshall is put on trial for her suspected crimes of witchcraft.
• Eight Fingers Nine – Become immersed in a living fairy tale in an 18th century colonial township that’s under siege by an inhuman monster who has a sick penchant for eating fingers. As night descends, Eight Fingers Nine emerges from the shadows in search of fresh meat. His vicious bite penetrates deep, causing sleep paralysis which holds his victim in sway while he slowly consumes their flesh. Step lightly and beware the dark, or you may be the main course at his next meal!
• Widows – The night of the arachnid is upon us! Enter a web-covered nursing home where demonic, eight-legged black widows emerge from their silken tunnels to possess the withered bodies of the elderly residence. Their sole purpose is to secure a mate and hatch a clutch of eggs before sunrise. Will you climb into their web and succumb to their dark desires?

With two mazes retiring this year, you’ll not want to miss your last chance for the horrors.

New Mazes for 2025

Mary – The Haunting of Worth Home – After the tragic death of her family, Mary was violently murdered and buried alive by jealous townsfolk who were envious of her perfect family and home. Through immense pain and grief of her loss, Mary returns from the grave searching aimlessly for her family as she and her legion of nightmarish creatures will do anything to exact revenge on anyone that steps inside her once beautiful home. 

The Zoo – Something has taken over the abandoned zoo. What was once a lively showcase of exotic animals has been transformed into a terrifying laboratory of animal/human experiments. Hybrid creatures have turned on their creators and the compound is crawling with mutant soldiers thirsty for revenge. Rumors are swirling that the mutated monsters are planning something that will change everything!

One thing that sets Scary Farm apart from other Halloween events, especially haunts, is your inability to escape those that lurk in the fog. From entry into the park, you may prey victim to the monsters.

• Conjurers – Magic meant to amaze and amuse takes place during Conjurers – Magic and Mirth at the Bird Cage Theatre.
• The Hanging – There’s a New Tariff in Town -The Lawman has returned to track down the vilest villains of the past year in this pop culture parody stunt extravaganza. No one is safe when the gates of the Wagon Camp swing open. 
• Le Magnifique Carnaval du Grotesque (Show) – Step right up to the Calico Mine Stage and walk into the mystique and darkness of the malevolent Le Magnifique Carnaval Du Grotesque. A collection of death-defying feats and carnival acts that will delight your darkest desires and fill your senses with terror and delight.
• Into The Fog: A Scary Farm Tribute Art Show – Into the Fog is an art show specially curated for the discerning Scary Farm fan, held in The Factory Store. Don’t miss the collection of original art by unique and talented artists from across the country. These artists have drawn inspiration from Knott’s Scary Farm’s rich decades long history.
• Timber Mountain Log Ride: Halloween Hootenanny  – The Timber Mountain Log Ride residents celebrate the Halloween Hootenanny, which adds a seasonal twist to a park favorite. Mysterious creatures of Timber Mountain that live out in the woods and caverns join the citizens as they honor the season at the Halloween Hootenanny. The Ride’s interior features surprises as guests venture past the Calico Coffin Creeper band, the town’s green witch, and splash down Skull Mountain through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns all set to an original soundtrack by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies.

Knott’s Scary Farm is held select nights, September 18th through November 1st. You can check out the full calendar here.

• Select Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays: 7 PM – 1 AM
• Fridays & Saturdays: 7 PM – 2 AM

I’ve had the best luck with smaller crowds on Sunday nights. If you’re planning on attending on a Friday, Saturday, or Halloween, you may consider adding a Fright & Fast Lane pass to your evening. It’ll get you to the front of the line for mazes and rides.

Scary Farm Tickets

Scary Farm is a separate ticket event, so all attendees (even passholders) will need tickets.

You can get discount Scary Farm tickets by purchasing them online from Knott’s Berry Farm. Purchase tickets online here. Passholders, don’t forget your passholder discount!

The best option is to secure your season of screams by purchasing a Scary Farm Pass. For $159, you’ll be able to enjoy every night of terror. Quantities are limited, so I wouldn’t wait on the pass.

If you’re visiting for one frightening night, consider a Fright & Fast Lane with prices starting at $139 to skip longer waits.

Scary Farm Dining & Boo-Fet

All of that screaming can work up an appetite! Fuel up before Scary Farm at the Boo-Fet. The dinner includes early entrance to select areas of the celebration. It also comes with a 2025 souvenir bottle and digital photo download with a monster. The Knott’s Scary Farm Boo-fet dinner starts at $45 when purchased online. Separate Scary Farm admission is required and not included.

What’s served at the Boo-Fet?

Enjoy endless supplies of Knott’s favorites like the famous fried chicken, a chef carving station, and boysenberry pie. The Boo-Fet also includes a souvenir cup.

If your sweet tooth is killing you, head to the Ghost Town Bakery for some amazing options!

The Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel also has dining options. Meet friends at the hotel bar for themed beverages prior to Scary Farm. Unsuspecting patrons may fall prey to lurking monsters. YES, there are monsters at the hotel, too!

Is Scary Farm Kid-Friendly?

Amidst the monsters, you will see children. Knott’s recommends the event for individuals 13+.

My teens can definitely handle the thrill. I have a 11-year-old, and she is NOT ready for Scary Farm. It would terrify her, so we are going to hold off for at least a few more years. Each year I see children of varying ages (some younger than 13). Some are totally fine, others are not. You’ll need to use your discretion to assess if your child is ready.

Keep in mind that there isn’t a “safe area.” Monsters begin scaring at the park gate.

Scary Farm Chaperone Policy

A chaperone policy will remain in effect for all Knott’s Scary Farm event nights. Guests 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a 21+ year old chaperone with valid government-issued photo ID. Each chaperone can accompany no more than 10 guests.

• Gremmie Lagoon Little ones will enjoy splashing and sliding through Gremmie Lagoon. The water play area is perfect for preschoolers who can wade through the water and enjoy color play spaces, designed just for them. There are age appropriate slides and adorable animals with water spots.
• Sunset River Relax together on the Sunset River, where you can float for 1,780 feet around the park.
• Tidal Wave Bay If you’re looking to make waves, head to Tidal Wave Bay. The wave pool features a zero-drop entrance. You can dive in as far as you’d like for the perfect wave-to-smile ratio.

Best Soak City Rides for Big Kids & Tweens

Height requirement for these Soak City rides: 42 inches

• Beach House For kids looking for more thrills, head to the Beach House. Featuring three stories of slides, spouts, and splashes, the Beach House is a great choice for taller kids who have outgrown Gremmie Lagoon. Beware the bucket that drops 500 gallons of water!
• Bonzai Falls Slide down 41 feet on Bonzai Falls. The open-air 6-lane racing slides are a great introduction to bigger water slides.
• Laguna Storm Watch Tower Grab a friend and hope for good weather. The Laguna Storm Watch Tower tubes blast you down three enclosed tubes on an inner tube.
• The Wedge Being able to ride together was a great way to get my bigger kids to feel comfortable on water slides. The family-friendly rafts for The Wedge seat six.

Best Soak City Rides for Teens & Adults

Height requirement for these Soak City rides: 48 inches

• Malibu Run With both open and enclosed slides, Malibu Run will have you shrieking “Surf’s Up!” from the tube slides.
• Old Man Falls Three fast action slides await at Old Man Falls. Lie back, cross your arms, and sail down for fun.

Soak City features two dining options: Portside Pizza and Longboard’s Grill.

Portside Pizza Grab a slice of pizza or a salad to fuel your Soak City fun! If you’re ordering for a family, grab an entire pizza for additional savings versus individual slices.

There are two main dining options and they get busy. Avoid crowds by skipping peak dining times.

Knott’s Berry Farm reusable bottles can be used at Soak City.

Dippin’ Dots counts as lunch during the summer.

Is there alcohol at Soak City?

Yes, for guests 21+ there are alcoholic drinks available for purchase. Beer, including Brewery X selections, plus wine and slushies are available.

What to Pack for Knott’s Soak City

Bring your bathing suit, towel, and a big smile! Packing for Soak City isn’t tough, especially when you consider there’s a store to pick up anything you’ve forgotten.

Some things to keep in mind when packing for your day at the waterpark:

• Bring flip flops or water shoes The ground gets HOT! Bring a pair of flip flops to leave by the ride entrance. Water shoes are permitted on some rides, but not all.
• Life jackets/vests Life jackets or vests are required for those under 48″ tall or who are inexperienced swimmers. There are complimentary life jackets available. However, you may bring your own granted they are US Coast Guard approved.
• Sunscreen Sunburns are not great souvenirs.
• Waterproof phone case Grab a waterproof phone pouch like this one from Amazon to capture your family’s favorite memories.

Knott’s Soak City Cabanas

Finding the perfect spot to call home for your day at Soak City can take some planning. I recommend getting to the park before opening so you can take advantage of shorter lines, but also get a good spot.

With a younger child in our family, we tend to head to the “grassy” area near Gremmie Lagoon. Umbrellas are permitted, so you can stake your spot and have a home base for your time at the park.

Otherwise, you can claim lounge chairs throughout the park to deposit your belongings and relax slide-side.

The best way to enjoy Knott’s Soak City for a whole day of fun is by renting a cabana.

Benefits of cabana rentals:

• Your own private area to relax and unwind
• A secure place for your belongings
• Food service personnel will take your order & bring your food to your cabanas. Plus, they’ll keep your pitcher of water filled.
• Personal inner tubes
• Shade

Typically we spend the morning and early afternoon at Soak City. If we have a cabana, we can stretch the fun to last the whole day. It is an added expense, but can be divided upon your party down to a very reasonable rate.

An important note: There is a one-time $18 charge for ordering food from the cabana service. All-day dining and meal plans are not available in the cabana.

You do have options when selecting tickets for Soak City. The best way to enjoy the park is to pick up a Season Pass so you can enjoy both Knott’s Berry Farm and Soak City all summer…and all year long.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the PEANUTS Gang are a special part of the Knott’s experience.  During the PEANUTS Celebration, the Charles M. Schultz comic strip is celebrated in a unique, park-wide event.  From unique activities to adorable photo op’s, the fun of PEANUTS Celebration was one of our absolute favorite parts of the year.

Playing hopscotch, riding trolleys, hanging with the animals in the Livery Stable, the PEANUTS Gang presence makes for some special memories.

NEW! Let’s Celebrate Show on the Calico Mine Stage 

New this year, Knott’s Berry Farm presents, Let’s Celebrate, a heartwarming musical tribute on the Calico Mine Stage in honor of PEANUTS’ 75th Anniversary. Snoopy, Charlie Brown and all their friends, as well as a host of singers and dancers, remind us why Peanuts is still beloved after 75 years!

The stage will transform at nightfall as the park hosts Snoopy’s Legendary Rooftop Concert. The Peanuts Gang has teamed up with the family-friendly indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club, for a high-energy spectacle sure to have everyone dancing.

The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz at Calico Town Hall

At Calico’s Town Hall, guests will enter a new, limited-time exhibit dedicated to “The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz.” This exhibit explores Schulz’s personal history and his role as the sole inspiration and artistic talent behind PEANUTS and its unique cast of characters. Follow along with Schulz’s story, from his Minnesota roots to his life in California and the development of the characters that make up the unique world of PEANUTS.

PEANUTS Sketch School at Bird Cage Theatre

The PEANUTS-inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre as the park offers an experience that teaches the young and the young at heart how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. The PEANUTS Sketch School will include our resident art teacher, providing step-by-step instructions on creating the perfect PEANUTS masterpiece.

PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree at Calico Park

A western escapade occurs at Calico Park with Franklin and Linus as they transform into cowboys in the PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree. The boys are hosting a western escapade as they channel their inner cowboys in PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree at Calico Park.  Perfect for the kids, join in the rootinest, tootinest games in Calico.

Meet Pig Pen at Livery Stable

Also in Ghost Town is Pigpen’s Pig Pen, where everyone’s favorite messy pal will be joining the rest of the PEANUTS Gang as he hosts a special meetup at the Livery Stables with some of his animal friends.

We are so pumped to be able to head back to Knott’s for the opening weekend of the PEANUTS Celebration so we can hang out with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy too. Who’s your favorite PEANUTS character?

Today, the restaurant outside of Knott’s Berry Farm serves 1,000 daily chicken dinners to hungry diners on average. The restaurant, known to insiders as CDR, has been serving up memories for families like mine for generations.

History of Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant

Beginning in the 1920s, Walter Knott and his beloved wife Cordelia began farming leased land in what was then a farming community. The entrepreneurial Cordelia Knott began offering hot biscuits and homemade preserves to the customers of the produce stand.

It must have been the recipe for success. As word spread, Cordelia’s menu expanded. By 1934, Cordelia’s menu included her famous country-fried chicken.

The restaurant officially opened on June 13, 1934 with eight dinner options on the menu, each served on Cordelia’s own wedding china. It’s humble beginnings led to a culinary landmark. As popularity increased, and by 1940, guests were lining up for hours to enjoy boysenberries and Cordelia’s chicken.

To keep guests entertained during their wait, Walter created an authentic Ghost Town on the property, bringing life to the first Southern California “themed” amusement park. We honor the “berry that started it all” during the Boysenberry Festival, but it’s critical to include the impact Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant has had on the creation and expansion of Knott’s Berry Farm.

As this year marks its 90th anniversary, Knott’s Berry Farm is celebrating the legacy of the beloved establishment through a wide range of offerings all year long.

Save the Date for these Golden Fried Memories

• May 25 – September 2 – Start your day in a berry special way at the Berry Family Breakfast event, featuring delicious dishes and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Available on select weekends from 8 am to 11 am, starting from May 22 through September 2.
• June 13 – Party like it’s 1934 and celebrate with us as we receive a Resolution of Recognition from the Office of Senator Janet Nguyen, commemorating our 90 years of excellence in the community. Those in attendance will be the first to grab exclusive anniversary merch.

The restaurant is located in the California Marketplace outside of the Knott’s Berry Farm theme park. It’s steps away from the newly renovated Knott’s Hotel.

There is a metered parking lot which offers 1 complimentary hour of parking, plus an additional 2 hours of free parking with a validated ticket and receipt showing a $30 or more minimum purchase from any California Marketplace restaurant or shop.

Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel Renovations

A new Knott’s Hotel pays tribute to founders Walter and Cordelia Knott in a modern hotel space. The revamped Knott’s Hotel celebrates their legacy by seamlessly blending tradition and modern appointments, offering a retreat with 322 rooms suitable for both theme park enthusiasts and business travelers.

Knott’s Hotel Lobby

The transformation encompasses various enhancements, including a redesigned guest registration area leading into the welcoming lobby great room, a delightful new outdoor courtyard, an expanded gift shop, and The Pantry, a new coffee bar serving freshly brewed Starbucks coffee and convenient grab-and-go items.

The magnificant chandellier at the center of the lobby plays off of jam jars of yesteryear. The carpet even has boysenberries in its design!

Knott’s Hotel Restaurants

Thirty Acres Kitchen, the hotel’s new full-service restaurant, serves up farm-inspired dishes and classic American fare. With a nod to the original 30 acres of the Knott’s farm and Cordelia Knott’s culinary expertise, the restaurant offers seasonal menu items tailored to complement the park’s themed areas, festivals, and events. The addition of an expanded outdoor dining veranda enhances the dining experience, while a spacious double-sided wrap-around bar in the lobby invites guests to savor locally inspired craft cocktails and small plates in a cozy and eclectic atmosphere.

We found the menus to be family-friendly generously portioned. Pizza, burgers, pasta, and other comfort food items filled the menu. The charming details like a chalkboard farmhouse door mirror what Mrs. Knotts would have written on the menu board outside her restaurant.

The Pantry

Step away from the parks for a sip of coffee from The Pantry. Serving Starbucks coffee, the hotel coffee bar offers beverages, plus baked goods and small bites like mixed fruit, salads, and pasta.

If you’re looking to use your Starbucks stars, head to the official location in the California Marketplace right outside the park exit.

Berry Place

Paying homage to the original berry stand, the hotel shop is called “Berry Place.” Stock up on your favorite Knott’s Berry Farm merchandise to serve as precious souvenirs of your stay.

Knott’s Hotel Guestrooms

Each of the guestrooms and suites has undergone renovation, boasting handcrafted details that exude a refined farmhouse aesthetic.

With my family of six, we opted for connecting rooms, each with two extremely comfortable queen beds. This allowed us the space to relax while staying connected. Speaking of connected, there are chargers built into the lamps. We were charmed by the artwork that captured the spirit of Knott’s Berry farm, like close-up photography of the Bottle House.

The bathroom features an illuminated mirror with touch activated controls, plus elevated toiletries. My Knott’s loving heart appreciated the boysenberry-imprinted handsoap.

Marcie joined the 2022 Peanuts Celebration line-up. The nature-loving and studious Marcie is the newest character you’ll find exploring the park.

Be on the lookout for extra fun around the Charleston Fountain where a pop-up cavalcade takes place spontaneously throughout the day.

Plus, PigPen finds his way to the Livery Stable. Special for the celebration, the stable is home to baby piglets. They’re so cute!
